MAIN BRIEF IDEAS

This shows some of my initial design of the front cover.My favourite one is the first one as I'm going for a scrapboook rustic look so i thought by having the ripped notebook paper gave it a 'rustic' look and also having the sticky tape gave it scrapbook style. I'm not sure if the background is qutoe right but I think it links in with the nature/ woodland aspect. I also think the ladybirds give it more of child friendly look, i'm not sure if it does look child like enough. 

This shows a rough layout for the 'Cooking over fire' page. I when for wood theme for this one as it involves fire, I thought as the background having a burnt tea stained sort of page would also link in with the theme, but it's not to overpowering or distracting from the actual content. Sticking with the 'rustic' theme I thought i'd have the pieces of wood look as thought they have nailed to the page. I will add images to the you will need section and instructions to the instructions page. 

This is my inital design for the 'Bug Hotel' page again I'm not sure if the background is quite right i think it may be a bit busy. I like the bug checklist section as I think it gives a bit of interactivity for children. I have stuck with the scrapbook rustic style by adding the sticky tape and the scrap bits of paper. I have added a few ladybirds but I might also add a few more bugs around the page.
